A Brief History of Hollin Consulting

Hollin Consulting was formed by Howard Lees in April 2004. Howard is a British Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years construction experience, he was Operations Manager for Bechtel Water during the 90's and Construction Oversight Manager for Bechtel projects in Europe. After a period studying applied behavioural science in the USA he moved to London working with Bechtel Project and Executive Managers to improve business performance within the company.

Hollin Consulting provide training courses and coaching designed to improve business performance and safety performance. The term ‘Behavioural Management Techniques' or 'BMT' was first coined by Howard Lees in 2002 and describes the Hollin training methodology and materials.

The BMT courses are comprise of:-

  • Interactive workshop content delivered by our trainers.
  • Individual behavioural improvement plans (BIPs).
  • Course reading and in-course web based Q&A.
  • One to one coaching and web based coaching.
  • Transfer of knowledge through train the trainer courses and coaching.

Behaviourally designed on-line training methods have proved very successful in transferring knowledge to students over the period of the courses. Over the last ten years we have been engaged by major clients including Bechtel, London Underground, Carillion, Intel, Volvo, Network Rail, Scottish Water, Costain, MWH, The City of Edinburgh Council, Galliford, Morgan Est, Atkins, The London Olympic Games, Southern Water, United Utilities, Turriff, Veolia Water and Mouchel.
